February 26th, Old Rail Post
6025, Veterans of Foreign
War of the United States,
was instituted and
chartered.
July 7, 1946 the post home was dedicated.

The first meeting was held in the J.O.U.A.M. on Main Street.
Present building was purchased from Mt Savage Amusement Co.
It was the Don Howard Theater Building.
First Christmas for the Kids December 29, 1947
Color Guard and Firing Squad was organized May 1948.
The VFW was dedicated to the welfare of it's members and Community .
